Le festival de musique et d’art d’Osheaga a été établi sur son site actuel pour encourager le patrimoine architectural canadien au Parc Jean-Drapeau, le site historique rendu célèbre par l’exposition mondiale “Expo 67″, où on peut trouver de nombreuses sculptures renommées. Nous avons créé ce Salon des Arts pour faire honneur à cette tradition de l’art public.

Les expositions des années précédentes au festival du Salon des Arts comprenaient les travaux du compositeur.

et membre du groupe musical DEVO, Mark Mothersbaugh, Armand Vaillancourt, Daft Punk, Ethan Murrow et plusieurs artistes locaux dont HVW8, Randall Finnerty, Jack Dylan et The Young People’s Foundation.

Cette année seront présentés des travaux sur le thème “Une Nouvelle Fenêtre” utilisant comme médium le design et l’art informatique, l’espace et les installations vidéo.

The Osheaga Music and Arts Festival was established on its current site to promote the Canadian Architectural Heritage site at Parc Jean-Drapeau, the Montreal landmark made famous by its role in the “Expo ’67” World Fair. The park on Île Ste. Helene is home to many
world-renowned structures, and we created the Salon des Arts to honour this public art tradition.

Previous years’ exhibits at the festival’s Salon des Arts included the works of composer and Devo member, Mark Mothersbaugh, Armand Vaillancourt, Daft Punk, Ethan Murrow, Stefan Sagmeister, Siebren Versteeg and hordes of local artists, including HVW8, Randall Finnerty, Jack Dylan, Alexis O’Hara, Joe Ollman, Billy Mavreas, En Masse, Howard Chackowicz and The Young People’s Foundation.

This year we are showcasing installation and performance pieces that are wildly pursuant of the theme, Animals.
